CONFERENCE ABOUT IMPROVING OF LOCAL FINANCES

Within Conference “Days of local self-government” in Belgrade it was held National conference named “Improving of local finances in Serbia” that is organizing Council of Europe, Ministry of Finance of Republic of Serbia and Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities as partners within program “Strengthening of local self-government in Serbia – phase 2” financed by European Union.  On the National conference were considered the latest themes of interest for towns and municipalities. Through open dialogue between representatives of local and state authority are requested the answers to questions of importance for further development of local self – government and local finances in country.

In the name of City Municipality of Palilula in the work of Conference participated Bojan Ilic, head of municipal administration and Dragan Terzic from Department for Finances, Legal Property  and Utilities Affairs.

Mayor of Nis Milos Simonovic, said on this conference that he expect from Government of Serbia implementation of measures that is related on increase of transfer, primarily the least developed municipalities and towns, within the next year, and more intensive dialogue between Standing Conference of Town and Municipalities and Government of Serbia.
